I've been collecting magazine scans of my favourite Japanese people like it's going out of style, so here's a picspam for ya!

I'm pretty sure most of you who have clicked on this can tell who these people are, but in case you can't: Erika Toda, Aoi Yuu (+ Miyazaki Aoi), Eita, Matsuda Shota, Tetsuji Tamayama, Mizukawa Asami, Teppei Koike, Ueno Juri, Tamaki Hiroshi, Yamada Takayuki :)

More pretty people - NOT dialup safe! )

I miss making icons. My computer is dead and for some damn reason there is no photoshop on either the desktop in the den or on my brother's laptop. ANGST.

Great pics of Ueno Juri which I deeply want to icon but cannot: you know you want to click )

Now I will go watch the latest ep of Ryoko's Case File. It's like The X-Files meets Female!James Bond in anime form, and at least once an episode someone gets eaten/killed by a giant reptile/amphibian. Good times.

I never thought I would see the day where Erika Toda would be acting circles around someone... but Code Blue has given me this day.

episode 3 with completely random picspam and commentary )

***This show is a bit like the Japanese equivalent of Grey's Anatomy. Which is probably why it will never be as awesome as Iryu Team Medical Dragon (which is like House, because obviously Asada = House = Hot Rebel!Doctors vs The System).

Today I watched the first episodes of Yasuko to Kenji and Seigi no Mikata, both of which are about hapless siblings. In many ways Kenji and Kumako are similar, thus I have drawn up a chart to compare the two.

(Fun facts: Yasuko to Kenji stars TOKIO's Masahiro Matsuoka, and Seigi no Mikata stars Yamada Yu, also known as Oguri Shun's girlfriend.)

Who wins? )

That's the drawback to this drama - you can see the food but you can't eat it and it is TORTUROUS.

There really isn't very much to say when blogging Osen. It's the penultimate slice-of-life series, so to speak. If you're watching this drama, you are watching it for it's feel-good atmosphere, Aoi Yuu in yukatas and the delicious looking food. The show consistently delivers those things, so I'm never disappointed, even if yes, there is no plot to speak of.

Osen, episode 4 )
