noir film geek meets femme fatale

Oh! I watched Watching the Detectives today. It was predictable, but pretty cute nonetheless. Cillian Murphy does comedy a lot better than I expected, but as always, during the opening scenes his eyes freaked me out. They're absolutely beautiful eyes, don't get me wrong, but they're such a clear light colour that depending on the angle of the light, it's like he has no irises. And that is terrifying. Also, Lucy Liu was lots of fun in it: her outfits were so cute! If you're looking for something light and cute in the rom com genre that isn't mind-numbingly saccharine, I'd recommend this one.
